About Us
Moses Mabhida is a Non-Profit Organization that was established 2010, and registered at DSD in 2012 with national footprint. The organization established in the memory of Moses Mabhida’s works and his sacrifice’s he made during the apartheid era by his granddaughter who aim to preserve the legacy of the great Moses Mbeki Mncane Mabhida and make sure that the vision of Moses Mabhida is about breaking the cycle and turning the tide of intergenerational poverty through the introduction of community integrated programme is implemented... The organization addresses the social and economic development challenges that are faced by the previously disadvantaged communities, especially women, youth and Children, and therefore provides developmental support programmes that are aimed at changing their lives.

Aims and objectives

To provide confidential services and facilitate psycho-social services to victims/survivors on domestic violence and sexual abuse

To provide education and support on issues associated with abuse and parenting to victims of violence including women, youth and men

To host awareness on the issues associated with abuse and violence
Area of operation
The organization operates in Gauteng Province. Therefore, while Pretoria- based MMF has an ambition to extend our good works to the rest of the country. We believe that the need out there is greater and that expansion of services and the increase of hands is imperative.
Management
The organization is governed by the Board of Directors that consist of seven Non- Executive Directors and one (1) chief executive officer. The Board provides effective, transparent, accountable and coherent corporate governance; strategic guidance, and further conduct an effective oversight on the overall affairs of the organization, so as make sure that the organization complies with all relevant legislation, partnership agreements and ensures sound financial management.
The Board consist of members that are experienced in corporate governance and have been drawn from the public sector, civil society organisations and business. The Board meets quarterly to perform its responsibilities and holds special Board meetings as and when required.
Our Services
Our services are delivered in two (2) main keys programmes namely:

Victim Empowerment
Victim empowerment programme it's an approach to facilitate access to range of services for all people who have individually or collectively suffered harm, trauma or loss through violence, crime ,natural disaster ,human accident and through socio- echoic conditions. The unit provides a service to victims of abuse, rapes and other crimes, and we are so far visible in two police stations ( East and West ) in Mamelodi and one Police station in Moot We have got one Social Worker and two Auxiliary Social Workers and eight volunteers who render counselling services, emotional support, material assistance, hosting awareness’s and home visits to victims of domestic violence, and some of the beneficiaries get placed at different Shelters for abused women and Children.

Thuthuzela Care Centres
The unit provides a service to Victims of rape and sexual assault, and we are so far visible in Mamelodi Day Care Hospital. We have got one Social Worker and six Auxiliary Social Workers and six volunteers who render counselling services, emotional support, material assistance, hosting awareness’s Refferals and Support Groups.
